The
Grasshopper Grill
Restaurant
& Sports Bar
Located in "KC's Corner" on the NW corner of Cornville Road and Page
Springs Road the Grasshopper Grill caters to practically everybody.
The place is
freshly updated, clean and well maintained - no complaints there.
The "Sports bar" part of the Grill is in front , the newest part of
the establishment is the restaurant area in the rear. The whole
restaurant and bar is unpretentious - just like Cornville.
Guys can bring the whole team in and have a few beers while watching
the game on the big screen, while mom & dad bring in the kids
for any of 10 or so items on the kids menu. They are far
enough apart so the team shouldn't bother mom and the kids shouldn't
bother the team.
The same deal
hold true for the menu. There is something for everyone, unless you are
looking for halibut cheeks or some such nonsense, in which case you
shouldn't be eating in Cornville anyway.
There are 9 burgers on the menu ranging from the Cornville Classic ($7)
to the Cowboy Up with 1 pound of beef, double cheese, grilled onions,
grilled mushrooms, and an onion ring ($11). If that won't do it for you
the BYOB (build your own burger) with a 1/2 pound of beef and your
choice of 3 items and any cheese you please , should. All the burgers
come with a side.
Other menu items, there are a lot of them, include 14 sandwiches -
meatloaf to vegetarian - running from about $6 to $8.50, Grasshopper
Grill specialties like "Award Winning" baby back ribs ($17/$23) and
Catch of the week($16) - Macadamia nut crusted catch of the week.
Please guys, unless you are catching the same fish every week,
macadamia nuts just don't go with every kind of fish!
Then there are other specialties that include a little Mexican food a
little Italian, some Cajun Italian, salad, soups, appetizers,
- like I said if you can't find something to try here - you just aren't
trying.
We ordered a Melt Down (patty melt) and 3 BYOBs. The burgers were thick
and juicy and all were done on the well side of medium well, I would
probably order medium next time. The buns were fresh as were the
condiments.
The only
whine here was that the cook burned the bun on my wifes burger.
Attention management - you only thought you had them trained!
The sides were very good, the potato salad was delicious, the cowboy
beans were excellent and the chili was not bad either.
All in all the food was good.
Service was steady, efficient and prompt, I only wish the server we had
would move to Prescott.
The Grasshopper Grill serves breakfast on Saturday and Sunday and there
is service on the patio when the weather is nice.
Grill Hours:
Sunday - Tuesday 11am to 8:30pm Thursday - Saturday 11am to 9pm.
Closed Wednesday.
