The Firehouse Kitchen Annex

a Nice Prescott, Arizona Bar with Good Nibbles

We showed up in the middle of the week- a little before the dinner hour - so we decided to try the Firehouse Kitchen Annex - the piano bar aboveThe Exterir of the Firehouse Kitchen Annex- A Prescott, Arizona bar. the Firehouse Kitchen restaurant - for a before dinner drink and maybe an appetizer.

The Annex is done in a terra-cotta and gold, I think - the lights are pretty low, there are framed beverage posters on the wall. It has a nice feel.

With about a 1/2 dozen bar height tables and as many stools at the bar the Annex is not a large bar - but add in the 6 tables and a couch on the
The Firehouse Kitchen Annex - a Prescott, Arizona barcovered outdoor patio and we have a place that can handle a good size party.

The perfect location for an after work drink with friends,  a happy hour
($1.00 off on everything) party or just a place to hang out with your significant other.

We ordered our drinks - a Mojito ($6) and a Key Lime Martini ($7), and from the starters menu, Classic Bruschetta ($6).

My wife really liked her Martini, the Mojito was Okay - I am just not much for mixed drinks - I have no idea why I keep ordering them- just a slow learner I guess.

There is a wine list with around 40 selections, more or less evenly split between reds and whites.

All are offered by the glass ($4.50 to $10) - but  a word of caution here - the by the glass bottles are kept for up to 2 days corked and set on a shelf, before they are tossed. If you are lucky you may get a glass from a fresh bottle - or one that is 2 days old.

There is a list of around 20 bottled beers as well - Blue Moon, Modelo,FirehouseAnnexPatio Stella etc. that range from $3 to $4.50.

Our Bruschetta was delicious, toasted Baguette slices sprinkled with Parmesan and garlic and topped with a Tapanade made with Tomatoes, basil, more garlic and onions - excellent stuff.

There's lot's more on the starters menu- Spinach dip, Shrimp Cocktail ($12), a Cheese Medley ($15), Baked Brie ($5) and several others - but I can't read my notes.

Happy hour runs from 4- 7 pm Tuesday through Sunday. Most nights there is live entertainment  - Chuck, Cat & Joe entertained us with mix of the Mamas & Papas, Creedence and some blues. Not Vegas, but a lot of fun.
